Paphiopedilum Maudiae are truly unique orchids with extraordinary looking flowers. Paph. Maudiae even have the highly sought after mottled leaves! This listing is for a hybrid variety of the alba form, which have blooms in a range of green and white colored flowers. Intensity of leaf mottling may vary from hybrid to hybrid. Foliage will eventually fan out in a bush-like fashion – so this exotic orchid will be beautiful year round, unlike other varieties. They thrive in the same conditions Phalaenopsis prefer, making this an easy to care for, excellent beginner’s collectible plant.
Live orchid plant comes in a 4″ clear nursery pot with premium potting media to keep your new friend happy and healthy. Also available in decorative biodegradable organic polymer pots. Care is very easy – this plant will put out new spikes year after year with minimal attention! This fuzzy-flowered orchid prefers medium to bright indirect light, regular fertilization (“weakly, weekly”), and occasional misting. Choose an eastern exposure (or south/west with a dappled curtain) for the most vigorous growth!
This orchid breed is native to tropical climates and does best around 65 to 80 degrees. Weatherized shipping is included with all our plants whenever required. We delicately wrap our live plants in layers of sheet foam, and include a 72+ hour heat pack when temperatures are low. However, we make no guarantees that our tropical plants will survive extreme freezing temperatures. It’s the duty of the buyer to open packages immediately upon arrival.
