Mini/Dwarf Phalaenopsis Orchids are the ULTIMATE entry-level orchid. They’re small, flower regularly, and are super simple to care for! Most people believe orchids are challenging plants – they’re actually the opposite! If you have the know-how, orchids are some of the most hands-off houseplants you can own. These orchids are in a sphagnum moss/fir bark media, so you won’t have to water them more than once a week. Check if top of the pot is dry, then run some water through. Never let your orchids stand in water!
Our Mini Phals are hand reared in our bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania greenhouse. This listing is for a random variety of Mini Phalaenopsis orchid with 3 to 8 leaves, in 3″ black plastic net pots — the ideal pot for epiphytes and orchids. UNKNOWN VARIETY/COLOR. Mini Phals Bloom 2 to 3 times a year; flowers will last for two or more months with proper care.
Phalaenopsis are “low light” orchids — they’ll do best in mild to medium indirect light. East windows, or south windows dappled by a curtain are ideal. For the most possible flowers, fertilize “weakly, weekly” with an all purpose or orchid specific fertilizer. This orchid is a wonderful addition to your indoor collection, but is also happy outside in the warmer months.
Temperatures this time of year are chilly! This orchid breed is native to Southeast Asia and does best around 65 to 80 degrees.
