Paphiopedilum Maudiae are truly unique orchids with extraordinary looking flowers. Paph. Maudiae even have the highly sought after mottled leaves! This listing is for a hybrid Vinicolor and Maroon varieties, which have blooms in a range of maroon/purple/red wine colors, with varying degrees of white and green accents. Intensity of leaf mottling may vary from hybrid to hybrid. Foliage will eventually fan out in a bush-like fashion – so this exotic orchid will be beautiful year round, unlike other orchid genera. Paphiopedilum thrive in the same conditions Phalaenopsis prefer, making this an easy to care for, excellent beginner’s collectible plant.

Our commitment to excellence means we ship exclusively express methods, as all live plants should be – usually USPS Priority 1-4 day or UPS 1-5 day. We’re VERY careful when wrapping plants – which is why we have such a high success rate! Orchids are native to tropical climates, and generally do best around 65 to 80 degrees. Weatherized shipping is included with all our plants whenever required. We delicately wrap our live plants in layers of sheet foam and include a 72+ hour heat pack when temperatures are low. However, we make no guarantees that our tropical plants will survive extreme temperatures. It’s the duty of the buyer to open packages immediately upon arrival. Consider having your order Held for Pickup, or delayed during extreme weather – just send us a note with your order.
