This orchid is doubly unique in that it's a shade-lover, and that it's terrestrial in its native habitat! Phaius Lady Ramona Harris 'Here's Looking at You' is well adapted to orchid potting media, but if you live in a region with no freeze, it does wonderfully well in a perennial garden! Large flowers come in on tall, 2-3' spikes. The back of Phaius flowers are white, contrasting with the front, where the show really happens. Flowers are exceptionally long lived.

Healthy, lush and green

Excellent orchid! The post office took an unusually, inexplicably, long time getting the plant across country to me, and I was concerned it might show up dehydrated or worse, but due to very careful packing it arrived looking like it might just been taken off the nursery bench a couple hours earlier. It's a nice good size too.
